The San Francisco 49ers aren’t done in the trade market just yet. The 49ers are trading running back Jeff Wilson Jr. to the Miami Dolphins, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter says San Francisco is receiving a 2023 fifth-round pick in exchange for Wilson.
The move doesn’t come as a surprise after the 49ers went out and traded for star running back Christian McCaffrey, sending 2023 second-, third- and fourth-round selections, plus a fifth-round pick in 2024, to the Carolina Panthers.
Wilson had a season-low six touches in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Rams.
The move comes after the Dolphins traded Chase Edmonds to the Denver Broncos as part of the trade to acquire pass rusher Bradley Chubb.
