49ers surge past Packers with fourth-quarter rally

The 49ers are back in the NFC Championship Game

The San Francisco 49ers were 0-30 under Kyle Shanahan when trailing five-plus points in the fourth quarter entering Saturday.

The 49ers are now 1-0 when trailing by seven points in the fourth quarter under Shanahan in 2024.

San Francisco scored 10 points in the fourth quarter at stormy Levi’s Stadium to defeat the Green  Bay Packers, 24-21, in an NFC Divisional Round Game.

The Niners got a Jake Moody 52-yard field goal to close within 21-17 four seconds into the fourth quarter.

Green Bay rookie Anders Carlson missed a field goal that would have boosted the lead back to seven.

The Niners took over and went 69 yards in 12 plays, eating up 5:11 on the clock. Brock Purdy was 5-of-6 for 47 passing yards on the drive

Christian McCaffrey scored the game-winning TD on a six-yard run.

The Packers had one last chance to either tie the game or win it but Dre Greenlaw picked off Jordan Love for the second time in the game.

The Niners are in the NFC Championship Game for the fourth time in five years. They will play host to the Detroit Lions or Tampa Bay Buccaneers a week from Sunday
