49ers roster moves: 2 more players placed on Injured Reserve

CBs Jamar Taylor and Ken Webster are both on Injured Reserve for the 49ers after suffering injuries in the team’s Week 12 win over the Rams.

The 49ers were getting a little healthier going into their Week 12 bout with the Rams. They left that game with a win, but two more players were hurt during the contest and Tuesday were placed on Injured Reserve.

Cornerbacks Jamar Taylor and Ken Webster were both carted off during the 49ers’ 23-20 victory at SoFi Stadium.

Taylor has a torn ACL, which head coach Kyle Shanahan on Tuesday confirmed. He injured his knee after getting blocked late in the second quarter. Taylor was starting at nickel corner in place of K’Waun Williams who’s dealing with a high ankle sprain.

Webster, a special teams contributor, was covering a kick and sustained a bad hamstring injury that may end his season.

That brings the total number of 49ers to spend time on IR this year to 27.

The 49ers also released safety Chris Edwards just a week after adding him to their roster. He was a healthy scratch Sunday in his only game with the team.
