The San Francisco 49ers have been in the rumor mill for a few months now regarding their star receivers in Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel potentially being on the outs. With the receiver room a bit of a question mark moving forward it’s become all the more important that this Kyle Shanahan offense lock up what could be one of the top targets in their first round rookie Ricky Pearsall.

Pearsall could end up being a key piece for returning quarterback Brock Purdy to maintain what was an incredibly efficient offense last season. Should Aiyuk and San Francisco part ways, Pearsall would be the immediate benefactor and absorb much of the same role that Aiyuk would leave behind.

Given his football savvy, raw athleticism, and tendency to make circus catches from any angle, Pearsall could be set up for a massive year and help move this 49ers team to back to back Super Bowl appearances.
