Trey Lance didn’t get the start in his first NFL preseason game Saturday night but it didn’t take him long to make an impact and show off his talents as late in the first quarter against the Chiefs he threw an 80-yard TD pass to Trent Sherfield that was a thing of beauty.
Jimmy Garoppolo got the start for San Francisco but only played one drive before handing the offense over to the No. 3 pick in last April’s NFL draft.
Lance, who played his college ball at North Dakota State, had fans going nuts with this touchdown pass.
