Brock Purdy is the third quarterback to start a game for the 49ers this season, but thankfully, they won’t have to make it four on Thursday night. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Purdy is expected to start against the Seahawks on Thursday despite being listed as questionable with oblique and rib injuries.
This will be Purdy’s second start of the season and third appearance overall, seeking to lead the 49ers to another win and a three-game lead in the NFC West. In his last two games, Purdy has thrown four touchdown passes and one interception, totaling 395 yards through the air with another touchdown on the ground.
Purdy helped the 49ers beat the Dolphins and Buccaneers in the last two weeks to improve their record to 9-4, taking the place of Jimmy Garoppolo, who’s out indefinitely due to a foot injury.
49ers' rookie QB Brock Purdy, listed as questionable for tonight due to oblique and rib injuries, is expected to start vs. the Seahawks, per league sources.
