49ers injury report: WR Brandon Aiyuk upgraded

Other than that, the injury report did not change.

The San Francisco had some good news on Thursday at practice with their injury situation. Rookie receiver Brandon Aiyuk was upgraded in the latest injury report.

Aiyuk suffered a hamstring injury that kept him out of much of training camp and did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. On Thursday, he was upgraded to limited, giving perhaps some hope he could play in the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals.

The rest of the injury report was the same as on Wednesday.

Receiver Deebo Samuel, recovering from a broken bone in his left foot, again missed practice. So did cornerback Jason Verrett (hamstring). Starting center Ben Garland (ankle) was limited for the second day in a row.

Did not participate:

  • WR Deebo Samuel (foot)
  • CB Jason Verrett (hamstring)

Limited:

  • WR Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring)
  • OL Ben Garland (ankle)
