49ers inactives: WRs River Cracraft, Trent Taylor will play vs. Saints

The San Francisco 49ers didn’t have any surprises among the players inactive vs. the New Orleans Saints.

There weren’t any surprises among the 49ers inactive players for Sunday’s game in New Orleans. Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon is a healthy scratch for the second consecutive week, along with the four players San Francisco ruled out in Friday’s status report. Wide receivers River Cracraft and Trent Taylor were both ‘questionable,’ but they’ll play in New Orleans.

Here’s who won’t suit up for San Francisco:

RB Tevin Coleman (knee)
LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring)
WR Deebo Samuel (hamstring)
CB K’Waun Williams (ankle)
CB Ahkello Witherspoon

Witherspoon’s inability to contribute on special teams has been the reason he’s out the last two weeks, and barring an injury in the secondary, it’s hard to see how he carves out a role at any point the rest of the way.

Cracraft and Taylor will give San Francisco a full receiving corps. The 49ers didn’t elevate a practice squad WR before the game which indicated Cracraft and Taylor would be good to go. They’ll fill out a group headlined by Brandon Aiyuk, Kendrick Bourne and Richie James Jr.

Here’s who won’t play for the Saints:

CB Ken Crawley
LB Chase Hansen
DL Carl Granderson
RB Dewayne Washington
OL Derrick Kelly
