49ers inactives: Jimmie Ward returns vs. Rams

The #49ers get a key piece of their defense back vs. the Rams, and their whole draft class is active for the first time this year.

The 49ers on Monday night will get a key piece of their secondary back. Free safety Jimmie Ward is active for San Francisco after being listed as ‘questionable’ on the Week 10 injury report.

Here’s who won’t suit up for the 49ers:

RB JaMycal Hasty (ankle)
DL Maurice Hurst (calf)
CB Dre Kirkpatrick (ankle)
OL Colton McKivitz

Ward’s return comes at a good time with his replacement Tavon Wilson on injured reserve because of a foot injury.

A couple notable inactives are running back Hasty and Kirkpatrick. Their absences open the door for rookie running back Trey Sermon to be active, along with rookie cornerbacks Deommodore Lenoir and Ambry Thomas.

Rookie offensive lineman Aaron Banks is also active for the second time all season, marking the first time this year that the 49ers’ entire draft class is active in a game.
