The 49ers defense got off the field quick in their first series of the season. They forced an incompletion on first down thanks to pressure from Javon Kinlaw. Then they chopped down Bears RB David Montgomery for a short gain. On third down Samson Ebukam took over and got around the edge to hit Bears QB Justin Fields for a sack. Ebukam had a big second half last year and got off to a hot start this season.
