49ers clinch last-place schedule, 2025 opponents locked in

The San Francisco 49ers’ 2025 opponents are set.

The San Francisco 49ers will receive a slight reprieve in the 2025 season thanks to their abysmal 2024 campaign.

With their 10th loss of the year Monday night, a 40-34 loss to the Detroit Lions, the 49ers have clinched a last-place schedule in 2025 no matter what happens in their Week 18 game against the 7-9 Arizona Cardinals.

That means they’ll face the last-place finishers in the NFC North, NFC East and AFC North.

Here’s what their 2025 opponents look like:

Home

Arizona Cardinals
Los Angeles Rams
Seattle Seahawks
Atlanta Falcons
Carolina Panthers
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tennessee Titans
Chicago Bears (NFC North last place)

Road

Arizona Cardinals
Los Angeles Rams
Seattle Seahawks
New Orleans Saints
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
New York Giants (NFC East last place)
Cleveland Browns (AFC North last place)

The Bears, Giants and Browns are all well behind their respective divisions so they’ve all clinched last place as well. That will make the 49ers’ strength of schedule significantly easier than this season when they played one of the most difficult schedules in the league.

That doesn’t guarantee they’ll go back to the postseason, but it should certainly make their path easier if they’re able to get healthy and revamp some key areas of their roster.
