49ers’ Brock Purdy, Deebo Samuel sit courtside for Warriors vs. Grizzlies on Christmas day

A pair of playmakers for the San Francisco 49ers were in the building for the Warriors’ contest against the Grizzlies on Christmas day.

Before the Golden State Warriors hosted the Memphis Grizzlies for a playoff rematch on Christmas day, the San Francisco 49ers took centerstage in the Bay Area sports world on Christmas Eve.

On Christmas eve in Santa Clara, the 49ers made easy work of the Washington Commanders on the way to their eighth straight win, 37-20. Backup turned starting quarterback Brock Purdy threw for 234 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the way to San Francisco’s win over Washington.

Following their win, Purdy was sitting courtside at San Francisco’s Chase Center with 49ers All-Pro wide receiver Deebo Samuel.

The pair of 49ers playmakers provided good luck for the shorthanded Warriors. With Purdy and Samuel in the building, Golden State stormed to an upset win over Memphis 123-109.

Poole led the Warriors with 32 points on 11-of-25 shooting from the floor. Draymond Green registered a double-double with 13 rebounds and 13 assists against the Grizzlies. Memphis All-Star Ja Morant led all scorers with 36 points on 15-of-29 shooting from the floor with eight assists and seven boards in 41 minutes.

After sitting courtside on Christmas day, Purdy and Samuel will prepare for the 49ers’ final two games of the regular season before the NFL playoffs kick off in January.
