4 Steelers named starters in Pro Bowl

Three defensive players and one special teamer from the Steelers made the Pro Bowl.

On Thursday, the NFL released the initial Pro Bowl rosters for the 2024 season and four members of the Pittsburgh Steelers made the cut as starters.

On offense, the Steelers were shut out but given the struggles on that side of the football, this comes as no surprise. We held out some hope that rookie center Zach Frazier or maybe running back Najee Harris might make the cut but no luck.

Three of the four Pro Bowl players are on the defensive side of the ball. Defensive tackle Cam Heyward, outside linebacker T.J. Watt and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick are the backbone of one of the best defenses in the NFL.

This is Heyward’s seventh Pro Bowl. Same for Watt. For Fitzpatrick, this is his fifth Pro Bowl.

Kicker Chris Boswell was also named a starter. This is only Boswell’s second Pro Bowl bid but he is having an historic season with 40 field goals and one game left to play.
