4 reasons NBA fans should be rooting for Chris Paul to win his first ring

If you weren’t on the Chris Paul championship train yet, there’s still time.

The Phoenix Suns absolutely trounced the Denver Nuggets and NBA MVP Nikola Jokic on Wednesday, going up 2-0 in their Western semifinals playoff series. Paul had a terrific game — 17 points, 15 (!) assist, a pair of threes and five rebounds.

You could see a scenario in which the Suns win the West … and then maybe the first title in franchise history.

It would also be the first ring for the Point God, already a future Hall of Famer, and that would be the icing on the cake for one of the all-time great’s career.
