4 Rams whose ‘Madden NFL 21’ ratings EA got wrong

Should Jared Goff really be the 15th-best player on the Rams in “Madden NFL 21?”

Samson Ebukam: 80 overall

Madden’s ratings gurus are higher on Ebukam than probably even the Rams’ own coaches. He once again has an 80 overall rating, which is the same rating as he had when “Madden NFL 20” was released. He was decent in 2019, but should he really be rated that much higher than Taylor Rapp (75 overall), Hill (74 overall) or Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (69 overall)? Probably not.

Ebukam has a chance to be a starter again in 2020, but he’ll need to beat out Okoronkwo and rookie Terrell Lewis (67 overall). Few backups – which Ebukam was in 2019 before Clay Matthews got hurt – are rated as highly as he is.

To put his rating into perspective, he’s tied with Bud Dupree at 80 overall. Last season, Dupree had 11.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, 16 TFL and 17 QB hits.
