Earlier, we brought up some old wounds among the Jacksonville Jaguars fanbase as we discussed a few quarterbacks who have had tremendous success against them. Now, it’s time to restore a few smiles back to the Duval faithful as we relive the good times and analyze a few notable quarterbacks that haven’t had the best luck against the Jaguars in their history.

Some of the quarterbacks on this list have had tremendous success in their careers, and could potentially end up in the Hall-of-Fame when they retire. That said, Jags fans should thoroughly enjoy the five signal-callers I was able to compile:

4. Rich Gannon (0-2 vs. the Jaguars)

Peter Brouillet-USA TODAY Sports

When many football fans think of Rich Gannon’s career, they would most likely associate it with his six-year stint with the Oakland Raiders. As a member of the Raiders, Gannon won the 2002 NFL Most Valuable Player award in addition to earning a trip to Super Bowl XXXVII against the Tampa Bay Bucs.

The Raiders would lose to the Bucs by a score of 48-21 in a game where Gannon was completely dominated. He ended it with just two touchdowns and threw five interceptions as the Raiders struggled to get anything going in the contest.

As for his battles with the Jags, they faced off against him while he was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. While there, Gannon couldn’t beat the Jaguars, going 0-2 in his matchups against them in his 18-year career. Additionally, Gannon wasn’t able to register a touchdown pass against them and accumulated two interceptions across their two meetings. The last contest came in 1998 where the Jaguars defeated the Chiefs 21-16 in a Week 2 battle.

Gannon is widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in history. He is a four-time Pro Bowler, a two-time All-Pro recipient and should arguably be in the NFL Hall-of-Fame. Gannon adds another name to an impressive list of quarterbacks that the Jaguars have beaten multiple times.
