4 Jaguars players sit out Tuesday practice, Trevor Lawrence returns

Trevor Lawrence isn’t the only Jaguars player dealing with an injury heading into Thursday.

The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence returned to the practice field Tuesday with a brace on his injured left knee. The team was still without four players, though.

Cornerback Tyson Campbell, wide receiver Zay Jones, offensive lineman Walker Little, and offensive lineman Brandon Scherff were all absent Tuesday. With a game against the New Orleans Saints just two days away, it appears unlikely that any of those four will be available Thursday.

The sixth player listed on the report, defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton, is still technically on the injured reserve, although the Jaguars opened his 21-day window to return to the active roster last week.

For the Saints, the only change to their lengthy list of injured players was quarterback Derek Carr practicing fully Tuesday.

There are several big name players on the injury report for the Saints, including Cam Jordan, Tyrann Mathieu, Demario Davis, and Chris Olave. Perhaps the biggest concern for New Orleans, though, is the offensive line with Ryan Ramczyk, James Hurst, and Landon Young all listed as non-participants.
