4 defensive players to watch as Oklahoma takes on TCU

Oklahoma is in need of a bounce back defensive performance and to get it, these four Sooners are vital against TCU.

CB Jaden Davis

Due to the lack of media availability because of things that transpired earlier in the week, there’s really been no way to hear from Alex Grinch on Jaden Davis’ performance.

It’s pretty fair to say he probably wasn’t too thrilled while looking at it on film. The bottom line is this: Davis has to play better or the Sooners really should consider sitting him in favor of someone else. The catch is that they don’t really have anyone else due to injuries to Woodi Washington and the in season transfer of Justin Harrington.

So, Davis will have to play better.

After the two main Texas receivers showed out last Saturday, Davis will have an opportunity for redemption facing Taye Barber, Derius Davis and Quentin Johnston.

Barber and Derius Davis are way closer in stature to Jaden Davis and provide a much more manageable physical problem to deal with. Davis will have to show up. He will have to tackle better as well as his missed tackle on Texas’ first play opened the sideline up for Worthy to take it to the house.
