[autotag]Bernard Causey[/autotag] is a 6-foot, 170-pound, three-star cornerback from New Orleans where he plays for John F. Kennedy High School. Causey was committed to playing for Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels until Monday.
Causey announced his decommitment on his social media, and as soon as he did, LSU became the favorite to land him. The Tigers seem like a home run for a kid from New Orleans. LSU recently offered him which is what some are saying led to this decommitment.
[autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] has made it clear that he wants to “recruit the boot” while he is at LSU. After losing two commitments recently, he could use a cornerback in a thin secondary. The secondary has been a weak spot for LSU all year and injuries have not helped that standing.
Then, the Tigers lost two defensive back commitments for the 2024 class. Causey would be a nice pickup to offset the losses.
Beyond grateful for the opportunity to be offered a scholarship to ole miss❤️, but at this time I will be decommiting to open up my options I want to thank the team, the coaches, and the fans for all the love I was shown, ole miss will still be an option. #pleaserespectmydecision
