Over the past two days, we’ve published lists of 32 players considered locks to make the Denver Broncos‘ 53-man roster and 19 players we consider likely to make the team this summer. That leaves 38 players who are on the roster bubble going into preseason.
One of the most notable players on the list is running back Samaje Perine. He is Denver’s best blocking and receiving back, but he’ll turn 29 this season and the Broncos would save $3 million if Perine is released.
Denver quarterback Zach Wilson is also on the bubble because Bo Nix is a lock to make the team and Jarrett Stidham is the QB1 at this very moment. Unless the Broncos plan to carry three QBs on the active roster, Wilson might be a practice squad candidate in 2024.
