With the likely departure of running back Kareem Hunt the Cleveland Browns will likely turn toward the 2023 NFL Draft to replace him. If the team wants to add a dual threat that can produce as both a runner and a receiving threat then Tyjae Spears from Tulane is the guy for them.
Spears is an explosive runner that has great acceleration and the extra gear to run away from defenders. He also has good vision and instincts to find the cutback lanes and exploit them with his athleticism. With his athletic gifts, he is a big explosive play waiting to happen if he is given a seam he will hit it.
His ability as a route runner both out of the backfield and when lined up in the slot is something fun to watch. He embarrassed players at the Senior Bowl and has all the tools to one day be a featured back for some team in the NFL.
