With the 2023 NFL Draft just 30 days away the Cleveland Browns need additional help along the defensive line. If Wisconsin’s Keeanu Benton were to fall to pick 74 or 98 he would be a slam dunk of a pick.
At 6-foot-4 and 317 pounds Benton clogs rushing lanes and eats double teams to shut down the run up the middle. He has a strong base that he uses to anchor the middle of the defensive line and you do not see him pushed around very often.
You would think at his size that he is just a run stuffer but Benton is an impressive athlete at the position as well. He has a great first step and a swim move that allows him to pressure the quarterback well.
He is close to a three-down player and similar to the Browns’ new defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson in skillset. If the Browns have a chance to pair Benton with Tomlinson the improvement at the position would be amazing.
