The race for the 2021 NFL Most Valuable Player award is a bit of a mess.
Without a dominant quarterback performance through the first half of the season, there’s a rich field of passers vying for the award. The current betting favorite is Buffalo Bill Josh Allen, who is soaking in one of the worst games of his career and a loss where his team scored zero touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Right behind him is 44-year-old Tom Brady, coming off a loss to the New Orleans Saints and a bye week.
Needless to say, there’s no lock to be found for anyone betting on the league’s top individual honor.
While Allen and Brady may be tough bets at +350, there’s plenty of value to be found behind them. A wide open field means betting on the underdogs at the season’s halfway point could be a powerful investment. So who provides the best bang for your buck?
