The Eagles haven’t exactly had a No. 1 receiver for quarterback Carson Wentz to throw to. They have tried with the likes of Alshon Jeffrey and Golden Tate, but tight end Zach Ertz remains the most consistent target. With Ertz and Hopkins teamed up in the NFC East, the Eagles would have been strong favorites to repeat as division champions, a feat not accomplished since 2001-04 when the Eagles last did it.
