3 goals for Nets’ Day’Ron Sharpe heading into training camp

With training camp less than two weeks away, here are three goals for Brooklyn Nets center Day’Ron Sharpe to strive for.

Brooklyn Nets center Day’Ron Sharpe has high expectations for this upcoming season now that he is most likely the backup to starter Nic Claxton. With the way that last season progressed, it seems that Sharpe is the guy that Brooklyn wants to be the backup center for the near future.

Last season, Sharpe had to earn the backup center spot after showing some inconsistency and foul trouble issues early in his career. The Nets tried to fill the backup center role through free-agent signings in Moses Brown and Nerlens Noel, but Sharpe stepped up to the challenge and ended up beating out both players for the job.

This season will be more of the same for Sharpe as he will have to fend off the likes of Harry Giles III and Trendon Watford for the backup center position. If Sharpe wants to keep a leg up on these guys, here are three goals for him to strive for:
