Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas has an important season ahead of him as he heads into his third season in the NBA. While he has a bright future ahead of him as a talented player who’s still only 21 years old, Thomas will most likely be coming off the bench to start this upcoming season.
What makes Thomas’ situation with the Nets interesting is the fact that he has proven over the past two seasons that Brooklyn can depend on him when the time comes for him to play starter’s level minutes. However, for a variety of reasons, Thomas has been primarily a bench player no matter what the roster has been like.
This season appears to be more of the same as the starting five will most likely be the same as last season with the possible exception of Ben Simmons starting at point guard instead of Spencer Dinwiddie. Despite that being the case, Thomas can still make an impact for the Nets this season and here are three goals to get him closer to that point:
