The Boston Celtics now know when and where they will be scrimmaging in preparation for the restart of the 2019-20 NBA season held at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex in Lake Buena Vista, per multiple reports.
The Celtics will play three scrimmage games in total, facing the Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets.
Boston first takes on the Thunder on Friday, July 24th at 5pm ET in the 1,200 seat Visa Center venue for the first game against another opponent for the team since March 10th’s contest vs. the Indiana Pacers.
They will then play the Suns on Sunday, July 26th at 1:30pm, again in the Visa Center.
Per league source, the NBA is still working on a broadcast schedule for these scrimmages. https://t.co/DtBO2bIm4h

Finally, the Celtics complete their slate of scrimmages with a tilt against the Rockets on Tuesday, July 28th at 8pm at the 8,000 seat venue simply called “the Arena”.
While no broadcast information for these friendlies has yet been finalized, the NBA is in the process of securing broadcast partners according to The Athletic’s Jared Weiss.
It seems likely the NBA will be successful, as after 136 days without basketball, there should be plenty of hungry eyeballs waiting to see their favorite players back in action.
