This is likely the haul Cowboys fans love the best. Second-round center Al Johnson from Wisconsin ended up with a Career AV of 16 over 48 Cowboys games, but it’s the third-round pick that makes the noise.

Jason Witten is a future Hall of Famer and is the best draft pick of the entire exercise with a Career AV of 118.


2011: Two Picks, Total AV: 81

The Cowboys made one of their famed second-round risk picks here, selected Bruce Carter of North Carolina after his ACL injury. Carter ended up with a CAV of 19.

The best part of this haul was again the third rounder, as Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray joined the team. The 2014 Offensive Player of the Year ended his career with stints in Philly and Tennessee, but accrued a CAV of 45 over his time with Dallas.
