247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong projects Alabama to land 2023 DB from Florida

Damari Brown is a Miami legacy but was recently predicted to land at Alabama by 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong. Wiltfong is 91.44% all-time in crystal ball projections.

On Tuesday, 247Sports’ recruiting insider Steve Wiltfong placed a crystal ball prediction for 2023 cornerback Damari Brown to commit to Alabama. This is relatively interesting considering that Brown is a Miami legacy. His father, Selwyn, played defensive back for the Hurricanes in the 1980’s.

Brown spent his high school career at American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Several Alabama players that previously attended the same high school were Earl Little Jr. and Pat Surtain II.

If Alabama can land Brown, they will have five defensive backs committed in the class. The other four that are currently committed are Tony Mitchell, Jahlil Hurley, Caleb Downs, and Brayson Hubbard.

Several other schools that find themselves in the mix to land Brown are Clemson, Florida State, and Miami. It is also worth noting that his older brother, Davonte, recently announced that he is transferring from UCF. That could factor into his decision.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow Alabama football recruiting news.
