247Sports analyst thinks Duke football can flip four-star DL Bryce Davis from Clemson

Clemson beat out Duke for four-star 2025 defensive lineman Bryce Davis last month, but 247Sports analyst Tom Loy thinks the race isn’t over.

Four-star 2025 defensive lineman Bryce Davis already chose the Clemson Tigers over the Duke Blue Devils. He made his commitment in late July, choosing the ACC powerhouse over first-year Duke coach Manny Diaz.

So the race for his talents is over, right?

247Sports national recruiting analyst Tom Loy doesn’t think so. In fact, Loy logged a Crystal Ball Prediction on Friday for Diaz and the Blue Devils to flip Davis from Dabo Swinney and the Tigers.

The prediction lines up with fellow 247Sports analyst Anna Adams, who logged a Crystal Ball Prediction of her own for Davis to choose the Blue Devils last month.

With four-star linebacker Cameron Smith flipping to Penn State earlier this month, Diaz and his program currently don’t have a four-star player in their 2025 recruiting class. However, the Blue Devils have landed 24 commitments for Diaz’s first full cycle in Durham, including 10 players along the offensive and defensive lines.

Since Davis has already announced his commitment, there’s no timetable for him to announce a potential flip. He’s the 59th-ranked player in the class in 247Sports Composite rankings.
