The NBA on Tuesday announced that 242 players, including 48 international prospects, filed as early entry candidates for the 2023 NBA draft on June 22.
The number of players that declared is down from last year when 283 prospects filed as early entry candidates. The list does not include those classified as draft-eligible, such as players signed to the G League Ignite or Overtime Elite.
Players had until April 23 to file as early entry candidates.
The early entry candidates can now test the pre-draft process and obtain feedback from teams during workouts and interviews on their potential stock. Those college players testing the process have until May 31 to withdraw from the draft and return to school.
