Happy Saturday, Bruins fans! The UCLA Bruins are down to three weeks from the start of the football season. Coach DeShaun Foster and the Bruins are getting both sides of the football ready to go for a big season. We hope you were able to get to campus and see the open practice!
Now that we are down to 21 days, we are going to celebrate 21 on the current Bruins roster. That is both Ezavier Staples and JonJon Vaughns.
First – Staples is a 6’4, 200 wide receiver. The redshirt junior from Long Beach California came to UCLA from Millikan High School. Staples came to UCLA In 2021 and played 10 games last season.

The other is JonJon Vaughns, a 6’1, 220 redshirt senior. He is a linebacker from Pasadena. He attended St. John Bosco High School. The local kid played 12 games last season. He had a season high five tackles against USC. In the LA Bowl win over Boise State, he had two stops in that game. Vaughns is also a member of the UCLA baseball team.

The first Big Ten Conference game for the Bruins is September 14th against Indiana at the Rose Bowl.
