2026 top-100 prospect snags USC offer

USC is trying to retain California-based prospects for the future.

Samu Moala won’t play college football for a few years, but he is already in demand. Moala, a Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger class of 2026 edge rusher and inside linebacker, has been offered by USC. He is considered a main target for USC in the 2026 class.

Moala’s offer sheet as a sophomore is impressive, already boasting offers from Alabama, BYU, Auburn, Georgia, MSU, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, Michigan, Utah, Washington, and others.

At 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, Moala could eventually move to defensive end or edge rusher at the next level with three years of high school still to go.

Samu had five sacks, 19 tackles, including 6 tackles for loss and 2 pass break-ups in his freshman campaign.

The California native is ranked as the 45th best player in the 2026 class, the third-best edge rusher/defensive end, and the No. 3 prospect in the state of California.

The Trojans just signed their first player in the 2026 class, five-star standout and No. 1 QB Julian “JuJu” Lewis. USC hopes to build on that haul, and this would be a great place to start.
