2026 5-star WR out of Douglasville (GA) places Texas A&M in his Top 11

Texas A&M HC Mike Elko is making headway with one of the top 2026 wide receiver prospects

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting cycle has risen to the No. 1 spot in 247Sports’ class rankings after landing four prospects in the last two weeks, including two teammates from Douglas County HS in Douglasville (GA).

First-year head coach Mike Elko has been relentless on the recruiting trail since he arrived in College Station, assembling an impressive 2025 cycle while, as mentioned above, landing eight commitments in the No. 1-ranked 2026 class.

Focusing on Douglasville, 4-star WR Aaron Gregory and 4-star defensive lineman Jordan Carter committed nearly two weeks ago. At the same time, it has been revealed that their teammate, 2026 5-star wide receiver Devin Carter, has included the Aggies in his Top 11 program list.

While Gregory looks like the next elite playmaker in A&M’s future passing attack, Carter possesses elite athleticism, speed, and route running prowess to become a star at the next level. However, he’ll need to add more muscle to his 165-pound frame.

Within his top 11 list, Texas A&M joins Alabama, Oregon, Auburn, Texas, LSU, Georgia, Ohio State, Miami (FL), Ole Miss, and Louisville.

According to 247Sports, Carter is currently the 33rd-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the sixth-ranked wide receiver, and the third-ranked prospect in Georgia.
