2026 5-star OL out of Baton Rouge (LA) will visit Texas A&M twice this spring

2026 5-star IOL Lamar Brown is headed to College Station for two visits this spring

Texas A&M coach Mike Elko’s second entire offseason isn’t complicated. The coaching staff is putting the finishing touches on the transfer portal. At the same time, the 2026 recruiting class is another priority before the spring football season begins in early March.

So far, Texas A&M’s 2026 cycle has gained ten commitments, ranked 5th nationally, and has a chance to finish in the No. 1-ranked class if several high-ranking prospects commit the Aggies over the year, including five-star interior offensive lineman Lamar Brown.

Brown, the top-ranked prospect in Louisiana, has stayed in contact with the Aggie coaching staff over the past year while visiting College Station during A&M’s 38-23 comeback win over LSU and the season finale loss to Texas.

Brown is by far the most athletic and physical offensive line prospect in the 2026 cycle, possessing versatility as a defensive lineman similar to 2025 4-star and Texas A&M commit Kiotti Armstrong, who also thrives as a defensive end.

However, Brown’s future is in the interior O-line due to his size and athleticism. According to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman, the incoming University Lab senior will visit Texas A&M on March 22 and April 19 after coach Mike Elko visited him this week.

According to 247Sports Composite, Brown is currently positioned as the 6th-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, the No. 1-ranked IOL, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Louisiana.
