2026 5-star CB out of Akron (OH) will visit Texas A&M later this month

2026 5-star CB Elbert Hill will reportedly attend Texas A&M vs. Texas on Saturday, Nov. 30

Texas A&M’s 2026 recruiting class has soared to the No. 1 spot in the rankings after landing four commits in the last two weeks, including 4-star tight end Xavier Tiller on Monday afternoon.

While most of this recruiting success came after A&M’s 38-23 win over LSU in Week 10, head coach Mike Elko and his staff have been communicating nonstop with nearly every visiting prospect during the 2024 season. However, the opportunity to host an even larger list of prospects when the Aggies host the Texas Longhorns could go a long way.

247Sports’ Ryan Callahan recently revealed that Ohio native and 2026 5-star cornerback Elbert Hill will attend the Lone Star Showndown on November 30, as the talented junior defensive back explained that he will head to College Station after visiting Oregon.

“I’m supposed to be going to Oregon this weekend, and then I’m going to the Texas versus Texas A&M game,”

This is big news based on Hill’s position alone, as Elko’s development background at cornerback is nationally known, and if the Aggies can earn a win over the Longhorns, expect A&M’s 2026 recruiting momentum to continue.

According to 247Sports, Hills is currently ranked 53rd in the 2026 class, the 8th-ranked cornerback, and the third-ranked prospect in Ohio. In September, Hill placed Texas A&M among his top schools.
