On Monday morning, Penn State got a mini surprise when Mississippi native Mario Nash released his top 10 schools with the Nittany Lions still in the mix.
Over 20 schools offered the No. 13 overall prospect in Mississippi, and his southern ties, Penn State, being in his top 10 is a bit of a surprise. The Nittany Lions are definitely considered a long shot to land Nash going up against in-state powers like Ole Miss and Mississippi State, among other blue-bloods like LSU and Florida State.

When speaking with On3 about his recruitment, he didn’t mention Penn State specifically, so it would seem as though the Nittany Lions are on the outside looking in when it comes to getting Nash’s commitment.
Penn State already has two offensive linemen in its 2025 recruiting class, but Nash would be a prudent depth addition.
It is now wait-and-see mode for Penn State as Nash locks in his spring visits with his top 10 schools and perhaps even cuts his list down some more.
