2025 Ohio native Dante McClellan offered by USC

USC goes to the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, trying to get a Canton, Ohio, prospect to come west.

Canton, Ohio, is the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. It is also the home of a recruit USC is interested in. McKinley High School product and Canton native Dante McClellan is officially on USC’s radar. He has received an offer from the Trojans for the 2025 class.

McClellan, listed as a 6-foot-3, 200-pound athlete, is projected to play anywhere between outside linebacker and a hybrid safety. Last season as a sophomore, McClellan dominated by registering 34 tackles, four interceptions, two touchdowns, and a sack.

“I think it’s his size and his ceiling. He has a very high ceiling as a young player,” McKinley coach Antonio Hall said to the Canton Repository. “He does a lot of things well as a young player that you typically don’t see until his … junior year, or even his senior year. They just recognize that, and that’s to Dante’s credit because he takes coaching (seriously), he listens and has a great coach from both sides of the ball, and he was able to maximize that.”

The Trojans’ 2025 recruiting class currently contains one player: Oxford (Ala.) Thompson four-star safety Anquon Fegans, the No. 17 overall prospect in the On3 industry ranking.
