2025 DB Jae’on Young is on USC’s radar

If a team needs speed in the secondary, this 2025 prospect delivers it.

Jae’on Young is a 5-foot-10, 150-pound cornerback and a four-star recruit in the Class of 2025 via Sierra Canyon High School, in Chatsworth (Calif).

Young finished the 2022 season with seven interceptions in his first varsity season for Sierra Canyon.

He’s also a track star. In the most recent CIF track tournament, he posted 10.88 and 21.87 times in the 100-and 200-meter dashes, which should make a lot of schools consider him in the near future.

Young is currently rated as the No. 14 athlete  in the 2025 class, the No. 27 player in the state of California, and the No. 226 overall player in the nation according to the 247 composite rankings.

Young has offers from Washington, Cal, BYU, Washington State, Oregon State, Oregon and UCLA in addition to the Trojans.

Any team which wants to get a lot faster on the edges and keep up with opposing teams’ quickest and most explosive receivers will want to bring Young to their roster. No one needs a long explanation about the value of speed in modern college football, and the value of being able to close on a pass and break it up outside the boundary.
