Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class isn’t quite finished adding commitments amid the Aggies’ success during the 2024 season. The Aggies are currently 5-1 and 3-0 in SEC play, and they are currently atop the conference.
During A&M’s Week 7 bye week, head coach Mike Elko and his staff had a chance for the first time all season to watch several of the program’s 2025 commitments play football, including the top-ranked commit in the class, 5-star quarterback Husan Longstreet out of Corona, California.
Lighting up the scoreboard on a weekly basis during his final high school season at Centennial HS, Elko was reportedly in attendance for Longstreet’s recent game as the senior completed 10/13 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns while running for a touchdown in a win.
Longstreet’s arm strength sticks out more than any throwing trait, while his accuracy and touch continue to improve.
Staying in close contact with Texas A&M OC Collin Klein, Longstreet can likely see himself succeeding in Klein’s scheme after watching both Conner Weigman and Marcel Reed maneuver the offense successfully outside of the season-opening loss to Notre Dame.
Top QBs in SoCal were at it Thursday night.
Newbury Park's Brady Smigiel ('26) was 10 for 15 for 247 yards and 4TD passes with a rushing TD.
Centennial's Husan Longstreet ('25) 10 for 13 for 220 yards and 3TDs passes. He also rushed for a TD.
Both winning performances.

According to 247Sports, Longstreet is currently positioned as the 28th-ranked prospect in the 2025 class, the 4th-ranked quarterback prospect, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in California.
