Texas A&M Football’s change at guard has continued to positively impact recruiting, as new head coach Mike Elko and his staff are focused on adding prospects that fit the program in terms of scheme, culture, and a willingness to put in the work consistently.
With the 2024 cycle complete, Elko has already acquired several 2025 commits, including 4-star linebacker Kelvion Riggins and 4-star cornerback Deyjhon Pettaway, while several prospects are set to visit College Station in the coming months.
Continuing to garner attention at nearly every position group, the Aggies have now landed in 2025 3-star offensive lineman Connor Carty’s Top 12 program list this weekend, joining the likes of LSU, Oregon, Texas, TCU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Missouri, USC, Texas Tech, Arkansas, and Penn State.
Standing at 6-4 and 285 pounds, Carty’s tape during his 2023 junior season at Prosper High School is just plain fun to watch, bulldozing opponents left and right while showing elite traits as a run blocker, possessing a high motor while consistently getting to the second level while finishing his blocks.

According to 247Sports, Carty is currently positioned as the 23rd-ranked interior offensive lineman and the 61st-ranked player. With just one O-line commit in the Aggies 2025 class (3-star Joshua Moses), expect Carty to be high on Elko’s radar this offseason.
