The UNC basketball program holds the top overall recruiting class in 2024 but it isn’t finished yet.
One key target for Hubert Davis and the Tar Heels is five-star forward [autotag]Jarin Stevenson[/autotag].
The 6-foot-10 Stevenson is the No. 12 overall prospect in the 2024 class in the 247Sports rankings. He is also the top overall prospect in North Carolina and the No. 2 overall power forward.
Already taking numerous visits to UNC, Stevenson is looking, again, to return to Chapel Hill.
“Thinking definitely UNC and Virginia,” Stevenson told 247sports. “Then I would have one more visit left open.”
There have been rumors swirling around this recruitment that UNC will be the landing spot. Not only is he from the state, but also his mom played basketball at North Carolina.
Recently, Stevenson said he is looking to make a decision in his recruitment by the end of the summer.
‘They’re a great school. … Coach Davis is great. The players there seem cool, too, so I like the University of North Carolina.”
NC State, Duke, Virginia, Missouri, Georgetown and Arkansas are among the main programs involved in his recruitment.
Stevenson’s junior season recently ended in heartbreaking fashion, but only after he recorded his second-triple double of the year.
