The Atlanta Falcons have struggled without former long-time QB Matt Ryan, who led the team from 2008-21, going to the playoffs 6 times in that stint. In the last 2 years, they have gone14-20 and finished 4th (2022) and 3rd (2023) in the NFC South.

Atlanta added Vikings’ QB Kirk Cousins in the offseason and then QB Michael Penix Jr. in the 1st round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Playmaking RB Bijan Robinson will spearhead the offense in 2024 and was the team’s 1st-round pick in the 2023 draft.

Below, we look at the Atlanta Falcons’ 2024 NFL Super Bowl odds from FanDuel Sportsbook along with projected win total, playoff, conference and division odds as we make our best NFL picks and predictions.

Falcons over/under win total

Odds provided by FanDuel Sportsbook OR BetMGM Sportsbook – last updated May 21 at 11:17 p.m. ET; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list.

  • 9.5 wins: (Over: -148 | Under: +120)

The Falcons have the easiest strength of schedule per Sharp Football Analysis. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the Over has good value here. If anything, they could struggle to start the season, playing a 2023 playoff team in 3 straight games to commence 2024.

The Falcons gave up the 18th-most points per game last season and didn’t do much to enhance their defense, so while they might have strong offense with Cousins and company, stopping teams like the LA Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys may be easier said than done.

The value here is on the UNDER 9.5 (+120), and it is worth a play given those notes.

Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl odds

  • +2400 (bet $100 to win $2,400)

Atlanta is tied with the 11th-shortest odds to win it all. The San Francisco 49ers (+550) are the favorites, followed by the Kansas City Chiefs (+600).

At +2400, Atlanta has an implied probability of winning the Super Bowl of 4% or 24/1 fractional odds. The Carolina Panthers have the longest odds at +30000.

Cousins has struggled in the playoffs throughout his career, making the FALCONS (+2400) to win the Super Bowl for a 24-1 payoff not worth a play. PASS.

Will Falcons make the playoffs?

  • Yes -250 | No +194

There’s no value here either way. The NFC South is weak, and there really isn’t a solid QB in the entire division. While Cousins has been a strong option despite his struggles in the playoffs and in prime-time games, he’s still going to be the best option in the NFC South, making the Falcons to earn the outright bid a strong play.

At -250, there’s no reason to play Atlanta to make the playoffs. If anything, the Bucs, behind QB Baker Mayfield, could do well enough to win the division, then making the Falcons (+194) good value.

The win total is the preferred play to this one though.

Odds to win NFC South Division

  • Falcons -120 (bet $120 to win $100)
  • Buccaneers +290 (bet $100 to win $290)
  • Saints +340 (bet $100 to win $340)
  • Panthers +1400 (bet $100 to win $1,400)

Atlanta’s implied probability of winning the NFC South is 54.6% or .83/1 fractional odds. The Falcons have a steady option at QB which will matter, but they didn’t win the division last season and aren’t significantly better than their division foes like the odd indicate.

PASS.

Falcons odds to win NFC

  • +1100 (bet $100 to win $1,100)

The top of the top in the NFC should have a strong advantage with teams like the San Francisco 49ers just head and shoulders above the field. The Eagles may regress without C Jason Kelce, but Philadelphia and Dallas will both have a claim to be the top team in the NFC.

While Atlanta should improve on last season, it isn’t quite there, and with a lacking defense, it may not have the potential to be at that level this season. PASS on this wager despite a weak strength of schedule.
