Four-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo of the 2024 recruiting class is scheduled to be in attendance for Alabama’s Junior Day over the weekend. It will be the first time that Wingo has visited Alabama since being offered in early February.
Wingo plays wide receiver at St. Louis University School in Saint Louis, Missouri. He is listed at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds, according to 247Sports. During his junior season, Wingo hauled in 41 receptions for 785 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns.
He flashes top-end speed and does a good job of creating separation. 247Sports’ Alan Trieu compared Wingo to former Michigan wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Wingo has a track background after having ran a 10.55 in the 100-meter dash as a sophomore. His versatility and pure speed can help explain why 40 programs have offered him up to this point.
His brother, Ronnie Wingo Jr., played running back at Arkansas from 2009-2012. That could explain why Wingo is so dynamic with the ball in his hands.
Wingo has taken three unofficial visits to Fayetteville. He has also taken five visits to Notre Dame and three to Tennessee. According to On3’s RPM, Tennessee has the best chance of landing Wingo’s commitment at 46.9%.
Alabama is hoping to make a surge in his recruitment in order to give themselves the best chance to land the nation’s No. 4 wide receiver.
