Tennessee will open fall training camp Aug. 2.
The Vols will kick off its 2023 season Sept. 2 versus Virginia at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. Kickoff is slated for noon EDT and will be televised by ABC.
Junior running back Jaylen Wright enters his third season at Tennessee.
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound running back has appeared in 22 games, recording 1,284 rushing yards, 14 rushing touchdowns, eight receptions and 30 receiving yards from 2021-22 at Tennessee.
Wright led the Vols in rushing yards last season (875). He is a member of the 2023 Fall Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Wright came to Tennessee from Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina.
