The Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament schedule is set. The regular season concluded on Saturday afternoon, with USC beating Washington State in double overtime.
There was one notable surprise on Saturday in Pac-12 competition: Arizona lost to Oregon State. The Beavers had not won a game in nearly a month and had just given Arizona State its only Pac-12 win of the season. Yet, that Arizona loss didn’t cost the Wildcats a top-four seed and a first-round bye.
Stanford and Utah are co-champions. Stanford won the tiebreaker for the No. 1 seed.
Oregon and Washington tied after the Ducks won their last two and the Huskies lost their last two. Yet, that tie doesn’t really matter since those are the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds. They will meet in the first round.
As for USC: The Trojans are the No. 6 seed. They will play the late game on Wednesday night in Las Vegas against No. 11 seed Oregon State. The winner of that game plays third-seeded Colorado in the late-night quarterfinal on Thursday.
USC beat Colorado by 17 in Boulder, so if the Trojans do get past Oregon State, CU will be out for revenge against the Women of Troy.
All first-round, quarterfinal and semifinal games will be on Pac-12 Network. There will not be any games on Saturday, March 4. The final will be on Sunday, March 5.
