The Los Angeles Chargers enter the 2023 season looking to take the next step toward being a legitimate contender to win it all. The Chargers went 10-7 last season and were eliminated in the Wild-Card round 31-30 by the Jacksonville Jaguars after jumping out to a 27-0 lead.
During the offseason, the Chargers added free agent LB Eric Kendricks to bolster the middle of their defense. At the 2023 NFL draft, Los Angeles took WR Quentin Johnston in the 1st round.

After securing 10 wins in 2022, the CHARGERS (-128) could certainly be on track for double-digit wins again in 2023. Even in a tough AFC West, Los Angeles has a talented roster that can make some noise in the regular season.
Chargers Super Bowl odds
- +2500 (bet $100 to win $2,500)
The Chargers are currently tied for the 10th-best odds to win the Super Bowl. The Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins are tied with Los Angeles at +2500.
Following a fantastic matchup in last season’s Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs (+600) and the Philadelphia Eagles (+850) have the best odds to win it all. On the other end of the spectrum, the Houston Texans and the Arizona Cardinals have the worst odds at +18000.
With QB Justin Herbert expected to take another step forward in his development and the addition of Kellen Moore as offensive coordinator, backing the CHARGERS (+2500) is worth a small wager.
Will the Chargers make the playoffs?

The Chargers seem to underachieve and they’ve advanced to the postseason only twice in the past 5 seasons. That being said, taking the CHARGERS (-115) to make the playoffs in 2023 has solid value with Brandon Staley entering his third year as coach.

The Chargers haven’t won the AFC West since the 2009 season. And with the Chiefs winning the division 7 straight seasons and coming off a Super Bowl win, I’ll PASS on taking Los Angeles to secure the division crown in 2023.

Chargers odds to win AFC

Following the 2023 NFL draft, the Chargers have the 7th-best odds to represent the AFC in the upcoming season. The Chiefs (+350), the Buffalo Bills (+450), the Cincinnati Bengals (+500), the New York Jets (+900), the Baltimore Ravens (+1000), and the Dolphins (+1200) all have better odds.
The offense of the Chargers should be one of the best units in 2023 and if the defense can take a step forward, then taking the CHARGERS (+1300) to win the AFC is worth a small wager.
