Alabama is slated to lose three linebackers next season with Will Anderson, Henry To’oTo’o, and Jaylen Moody all slated to enter the NFL Draft. The Tide were able to sign the nation’s best junior college linebacker, however. 2023 four-star Justin Jefferson officially signed with Alabama on Wednesday.
Jefferson is ranked as the No. 1 linebacker at the junior college level, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. He is listed as 6-foot-1, 215 pounds.
The Tennessee native spent two seasons at Pearl River Community College. He tallied 139 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, and five sacks for the Wildcats. His versatility to play inside or outside the box will likely allow him a chance to see early playing time in Tuscaloosa.
