He followed that with a 64 Friday and a 66 Saturday and will take  a 5-stroke lead in his quest for his 1st tour title in his 65th career start. Hodges, who has 2 career top-10s (both this season), has made 22 birdies and 2 bogeys.

J.T. Poston (+650)

The 30-year-old pro, who opened at +4500 to win, has shot 3 straight 66s and is at 15-under 198, 5 shots back. The No. 77 player in Golfweek’s rankings is seeking his 3rd career title.

2023 3M Open – In the hunt (sort of)

Before the final group tees off at 1:35 p.m. ET (1-3 p.m. ET Golf Channel; 3-6 p.m. ET CBS), here are 3 other players to watch as they try to chase down Hodges.

Tony Finau (+850): The defending champ and pre-tournament favorite (+1200) will start 6 shots back at 14-under after rounds of 66-66-67.  He’s the No. 11 player in Golfweek’s rankings.

Aaron Baddeley (+5000): Golfweek’s No. 149 player is in 4th place, 7 shots back at 13-under after rounds of 69-66-65. He opened at +15000.

Kevin Streelman (+8000): He’s tied for 5th place, 8 shots back at 12-under after rounds of 64-68-69. Golfweek’s No. 193 player opened at +12500.
