Saturday at the Valero Texas Open was an interesting day. No one in the final threesome played well – Matt Kuchar had the lowest score (72) – and none of them will be in the last group Sunday.

Brandt Snedeker, after opening with a 73, has gone 66-67 to earn a share of the 54-hole lead. With him is Beau Hossler (Saturday 67), Dylan Frittelli (70), and J.J. Spaun (69).
